La Fogata Restaurant in Arvin

La Fogata has the best authentic Mexican food in town. The tortillas are made in-store, there is a great selection of aguas frescas and beers, and the buffet is amazing (weekdays for lunch only).For example, today I had flautas de papa y zanahoria con queso aquacate y crema, un chile relleno, quevos cocidos, arroz y frijoles from the buffet. Each bite gave me life. Absolute perfection!

None of the staff speaks English and they don't say a whole lot but the food is awesome. If you visit for dinner sometimes there's a bit of a weight but it's worth it

Hey all, If you ever have the unlikely chance to visit downtown Arvin California, stop in at this restaurant you will not be disappointed. This is the Best Mexican Food north of the border.

I was driving through Arvin and stopped here for lunch. I ordered 3 tacos de lengua and chilaquiles for my partner. We absolutely enjoyed the food, it was authentic. The tortillas were made in house, the salsa was good, and the service was perfect.They do accept debit/credit card with a 75 cent charge.

Great food

Big and delicious asada tacos, my husband ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and we'r were both happy with what we got. Definitely will be visiting LaFogata again soon.

kinda small and takes abit for food sometimes but the food makes up for all that you could also order from phone to just pick up

Had a horrible experience at this restaurant. Went with family waited over a hour for our food, waitress came to the table twice saying the food was coming. When the food finally arrived only 2 of our orders were prepared, them saying that the cook didnt understand what the waitress wrote on the ticket so it wasnt prepared for us. You would think since the restaurant was empty by this time they would come and ask us again, totally nuts. Will never go back there again.

Mmm to simple and small

Carne asada burrito was a whopping $9.50! At that price I would expect a generous helping of meat in it. It was just the opposite, I felt like I was eating a rice and bean burrito. Definitely not recommending.

La Fogata is amazing!! The food is super authentic, fresh made salsas and tortillas. My favorite is always the enchiladas rojas. Great selection of aguas frescas as well. The ladies are so sweet :)

Seriously good food! Everything is homemade and served with love and care. They treat you like family (even when you are a stranger visiting). That green salsa in booommmbbbb!!!! GO! Ie: I didn’t take pictures I guess I forgot. The food was that tasty and fresh!!

Like the echiladas, sope was ok, wish they were like my mama use to make them with shredded beef...carne desebrada!!!

Perfect place to go and get a home cooked meal.. the food is awesome! But you have to try the quesadilla de asada mushrooms and sliced jalapenos...

Highly recommend the buffet. Huaraches and Quesadillas are also a must try.

over the years their customer service has been going down the drain, food is great trust me, but now a days their customer service is horrible, not getting your orders right and giving you attitude

First time here. I was recommended the quesadilla. I ordered one and it was a quesadilla worth paying for. The workers were very polite. The man that was working behind the counter was very kind and polite as well. Overall, great customer service and food! Highly recommend this place!

About a week ago I ordered 6 tacos of carne asada, and i have got to say that they were the best taco's I've ever had in my life. Upon arriving home, i took a bite of the first taco. My god, i wasn't expecting such an incredible explosion of flavor! I highly recommend dining here if you're looking for a place with high quality food! 😊
